Up for Sale is a Rare and Damage Free Early Stove/Boiler Door. One of the Oldest Dated Iron Pieces I've had in a Long Time. This Door is in fact a Stove or Boiler Door as it has a workable sliding vent in the center of the door. At first glance, I thought it was a chimney cleanout door but knew for sure when closer inspection revealed a vent. This door was made in 1849 by the Iron Foundry in South Newmarket, NH and is in complete usable condition currently. The Foundry began in 1834 and metamorphized several times over the following decades along with the Town incorporating in 1895 to Newfields, NH. No Cracks or Chips in the Iron and a Wonderful Piece of Pre-Industrial Revolution Engineering as the Door Opens and Closes Properly to this Day. The Damper seems to be in working order but might need some tinkering. I will wrap the damper separately. The Frame, Door and Recessed Back Area is all one piece and will be packaged carefully. Fascinating Piece for the Blacksmith, Artist, Metalsmith, Repurposer and to anyone involved with Antique Stoves or Steam Boilers.
    Front is 16"H x 18 1/4"W, door opening is 9 1/2"H x 12 3/4"W, recessed frame in back is 3 1/4"W and total recessed area into stove/boiler is 9 1/2".
