Antique 18th Century Chippendale Brass Pair of Andirons Ball and Claw Feet 22" tall
Stunning antique from 18th century
pair of
brass Chippendale andirons.
They have typical cabriole legs with ball and claw on the bottom.
They are very tall (22").
They are made from brass and over the years they developed beautiful antique patina.
Excellent craftsmanship.
The shanks are made of cast iron.
The andirons are very heavy and sturdy (each andiron weighs 10 lbs.).
Each andiron is 22" tall and 10
½”
" wide.
The total length is 19" (from the front to the end of the cast iron shanks
).
Condition:
Great condition, no damage or repair. The brass has beautiful old patina. I wiped andirons only with a wet cloth to clean from the soot before I put them on sale and didn't use brass cleaner in order to preserve the patina.
