ANTIQUE BRASS & WROUGHT IRON FIREPLACE COOKING LADLE
This early ladle is circa 18th or early 19th century.  It was used in hearth cooking and was a very important tool.  It is nicely formed and is well balanced in the hand.  It has been well used.  There are old solder repairs as well as holes worn in the bowl of the ladle.  Its best use is decorative.  Overall length is approx. 18 inches.  The bowl is 4 5/8" across and 2 1/4" deep.
