    Description

    Description
This is a beautiful antique cast iron fireplace insert
that was salvaged from a Victorian Brownstone in Brooklyn, NY.
It is all cast iron and is painted white.
The perimeter has open cast "fretwork" and the center has brick or tile looking cast iron.
There is ornate trim around the gas logs.
    It is VERY heavy.
It measures 30.75 inches wide by 31 inches tall and is approx. 6.5 inches deep overall.
Overall, it is in good condition.  There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique.  It could use a good cleaning.  I am not terribly familiar with these and I am not sure it is complete.  Please look at the pictures carefully.

I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.
    About Us
My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting.  Steve and Michelle
