Antique Palace Size Winged Griffin Andirons Fronts Huge Possibly Bronze Brass

Up for sale is this huge antique pair of Winged Griffin andiron fronts ( there are no rear supports to stand them present. These are antique, but someone painted them Gold relatively recently. These are very impressive, measuring about 18 7/8" tall, 18 3/4" across. Each weighs over 17 pounds. I originally thought these were Cast Iron and was surprised when the Magnet did not stick, I scratched a few areas in the back and looks like they are either Cast bronze or brass, I don't see any indication that they are spelter and they seem much heavier than a spelter casting would be. There are a few divots and scratches to the gold paint, also note there is a casting flaw on the right side, toward the base of the wing on the right andiron.
