    Description

Fine, American Aesthetic Movement fire screen in cherry.
    Circa 1885.
Extremely unusual design featuring parrot head carvings on the top side posts, stylized "bodies" beneath and bold ball and talon feet.  The bottom rail has a design of round, pierce carved holes.  All original, "as found" condition, with the original Oriental blue and gold silk in tattered but serviceable condition and the wood in very good original finish with one old repair to the small decorative element on the bottom right side of the pierced rail.   Perfect for a collector of rare Eastlake or Late Victorian furniture.  40 1/2" wide x 30 1/2" tall.
