A very unique example of what was an impressive looking walking cane back in the day. The almost 3" long heavy handle is very ornate, has only a couple of tiny dings after 140 years, and has STERLING SILVER engraved at the bottom rim. The shaft of this just under 36" cane has a natural wood bark finish. It shows signs of use and some loss of color near the bottom, but is in great condition and is extremely sturdy. The original bi-metal 1.5" ferrule has age related staining, but almost no wear on the soft bottom tip. A very unique (probably US made) and still very usable cane.
