    Description

This walnut Victorian Rococo fire screen probably dates c. 1860s. I believe the front fabric to be needle point with the central "cameo" a finer petite point.   The fabric is in fair condition with some apparent fading especially in the center. The walnut frame is in the good original finish and patina. The frame crest has some small separation from the side panels. The floral fabric on the backside is in good wear condition appropriate with the age and use. The ornate stretcher base and legs are a fine form.
