Large Antique Hand Forged Fireplace Trammel Pot Holder Excellent Condition

Description

For auction is an original hand forged wrought iron fireplace trammel for adjusting the height off a fire that pots would hang. It is unusually long - 35 1/2" in its shortest position extending to 51 1/4". There are eleven different heights with the height being set by a pin being inserted in one of the holes. The workmanship on the piece is excellent. Notice the barb that was forged onto the hook to make sure it did not slip out unintentionally.
