    This rare and very collectible Pair of Brass Figural Chenets / Andirons / Fire dogs:
    - are well modeled figures of a beautifully attired King and Queen of England on Horseback, important historical figures;
    - depict KING EDWARD VII and QUEEN ALEXANDRA, and are marked as such on the front of their bases;
    - Edward, the eldest son of Queen Victoria, married Alexandra of Denmark at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, on 10 March 1863. He was 21; she was 18. Edward had an illustrious and important career; he ruled England from 1901 to 1910.
