Sheffield Horse Head and Hoof Andirons Brass and Cast Iron

Nice pair of andirons circa around 1950. In excellent shape, but about 70 years old. Made of solid brass and cast iron. I provide the before pic to show they have had some use, but polished up pretty nice as you can see. These are rare to find this complete. I sprayed the horse head with some 1200 degree Krylon spray paint over the original paint to dress them up. I'm not a professional painter but they came out pretty nice. No holes breaks or rot on the head. Minor imperfections on the hoof if you look for them.
One of the brass links that attach the chain to the nose ring fell under my porch so it has a key ring on one side in the pics. I don't expect to find it.The last pic is a repair to the andiron which I had a local welder braze repair which is said to be stronger than the base metal so should hold up fine. That piece is covered when assembled. 17 inches tall, but if you are searching for these in this price range you have probably done some research on them and know most of the intricacies. There is a pair of just the heads on Ebay for 0, and another complete set on Chairish for 95. Make a good offer and they can be yours. If I had I fireplace they wouldn't be up for sale. Andirons are stamped Sheffield New York 6R and 6L respectively. Will ship on the first Saturday following payment receipt.
