    Description

    United States Automotive Corporation Class A Common Stock Certificate. Certificate number E4016 printed by Hamilton Bank Note Co. NY. dated 1920.  Embossed with corporate seal.  The United States Automotive Corporation was created by a merger with Lexington, Ansted Engineering Company, and Connersville Foundry Corporation, all from Connersville, plus Teetor-Harley Motor Corporation of Hagerstown.  1920 was the high point of Lexington's production with over 6,000 vehicles built.  Production in 1922 was severely impacted due to a post- World War I recession.
