Leather is 2-3 oz. vegetable tanned calfskin - also known as - kipskin. Exceptionally clean, even thickness,  yet extremely durable with 100's of uses in leather and sewing crafts.
Ideal for partitions, edge trimming and binding for wallets, folders, covers, bag edges or trim, books bindings, cases, portfolio edging, etc. Superior as a lining for belts, watch bands, cuffs, pads, etc. This is the go-to leather for any repair of handbag, purse, leather jacket, etc. This leather molds well and takes dye extremely well.
These strips of vachetta vegetable-tanned leather are used where durability and appearance is most important.
This leather can be dyed, stamped, molded or embossed.
If left untreated it will develop a natural rich tan patina common to this type of leather.
Sewing machine binding attachments can be used with this leather.
Strips are available in 4 widths suitable for most uses: 1 in., 1.25 in., 1.5 in. and 2 inches.
