    Vintage 1 ton Manning Maxwell & Moore Ratchet Chain Hoist Budget. Nice vintage chain pull this model you can operate in up / down or free mode. To lift or lower gradually with load you have to hold free knob to put in ratchet mode.  Not sure it there is a way to lock in ratchet mode but it works well this way.I assume that is the design as it is easy to use
    Works well otherwise it may be. An adjustment or the way it's designed not sure.
