Vintage CRESENT Brass Fire Starter Wand - Alcohol w Pump Action for Flint Sparks
The top area was buffed to see Maker (Cresent) and Insignia.
Believe to be early 1900’s era.
Excellent cosmetic and functional condition.
It is 24” long, 1” diameter on end pieces and 5/8” diameter on center tube.
The tube is filled with alcohol from the lower cover, the top unscrews to show the 4 cotton wicks, the flint is inserted in the side extension on the side of the top cover and the wand barrel is pumped back and forth to spark the flint and ignite the cotton wicks.
I have not filled with alcohol do to all the shipping restraints to ship flammable liquids.
I have never seen a CRESENT Brass Fire Starter Wand like this before  – but it is a precision and beautifully made piece with accurate machine fittings and parts. A great accessory for a fireplace or stove than should get plenty of comments.
