  • Condition: I would call them Craftsman, because the cast iron area is definitely Arts & Crafts or Mission style. The andirons are in non-restored condition. I believe the brass parts are solid. A magnet won't stick to them. The cast iron has some minor rusting as seen in the pictures to super size. The pictures are part of the description. I believe the cast iron parts on the front decorative pieces were originally painted black. They have a nice patina to them now. The cast iron parts that would hold logs are solid cast iron pieces, even though there is a screw near their curved top. Total measurement is about 20" tall, by just under 9" wide at clawfoot base. The cast iron log holders are about 17" long. They were originally disassembled, and I am not sure all the pieces are in their correct positions as they were originally? The nice part is that they can be reassembled if you like :) The andirons have separate sections.

    Description

    Local Pick Up Only!  Our zip code is 60514.  We are in a Western Suburb of Chicago.
    Truly Unique Vintage or Antique Cast Iron & Brass Fireplace Andirons / Firedogs with Craftsman/Arts & Crafts Spider Web pattern (reminds me of the architect, Harold Zook) on rectangular cast iron, as well as a Victorian type claw foot bottom!
    I would call them Craftsman, because the cast iron area is definitely Arts & Crafts or Mission style. The andirons are in non-restored condition.  I believe the brass parts are solid. A magnet won't stick to them.  The cast iron has some minor rusting as seen in the pictures to super size. The pictures are part of the description.  The second picture has an insert picture closeup of the spider web pattern in the cast iron.  I believe the cast iron parts on the front decorative pieces were originally painted black. They have a nice patina to them now. The cast iron parts that would hold logs are solid cast iron pieces, even though there is a bolt/screw near their curved top.  There may have been something that screwed onto them?
    The andirons measure about 20" tall, by just under 9" wide at clawfoot base. The cast iron log holders are about 17" long.  They were originally disassembled, and I am not sure all the pieces are in their correct positions?  The nice part is that they can be reassembled if you like :)  When I reassembled them, the log holder's inside leg was slightly elevated, it is probably because the main threaded shaft was not down far enough.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
